20 people spent the morning birding at the Prairie Garden Trust. I think everyone enjoyed themselves. Perfect weather and lots of migrant birds helped. Highlights for me were getting good looks at an American Redstart and a Scarlet Tanager

Tiger Swallowtail

Tiger Swallowtail This week I’ve seen scores of Tiger Swallowtail butterflies at the Prairie Garden Trust. It makes me hopeful that we will see more butterflies this year. The severe drought two years ago knocked them back hard.
