Dickcissel

  • Spiza americanaDickcissel

You are certain to hear Dickcissels singing if you take a walk through the restored prairies in the summer. They are one of the most common birds in the grassland areas of the Prairie Garden Trust.

This bird was standing on top of a wild hibiscus shrub growing in a wet spot of the Five-Acre Prairie.
