Ruby-throated Hummingbird, (Archilochus colubris)
After dinner tonight the sun came out and I went out to see if I could get some bird pictures. A hummingbird landed on a tree near me. I thought it was a female, but as I looked very closely at the base of the beak I could see red-orange which makes me think this is an immature male.
